Capcom have announced the first major expansion for Monster Hunter: World, which will be arriving on PC and consoles in autumn 2019. Before then, players can look forward to the arrival of the famous monster hunter himself, Geralt, who’ll be making a special appearance in Monster Hunter: World early next year thanks to a collaboration with The Witcher developer, CD Projekt Red. The unique quests starring Geralt are said to offer “a brand-new type of gameplay that blends the immersive RPG experience of The Witcher 3 with Monster Hunter: World,” according to Capcom. Those who have yet to sample Monster Hunter: World can do so for free this week thanks to a trial for console users.
From 12 – 17 December, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 players can sample quests and online multiplayer, with progress carrying over should you decide to buy the game. Finally, to show their appreciation for Monster Hunter: World’s success, Capcom will be hosting an in-game – and imaginatively titled - Appreciation Fest next month. The fest features a newly decorated Gathering Hub and gives players the chance to earn special equipment in new anniversary quests.
