The developers are hoping to fund Fable Fortune via Kickstarter, and are already a tenth of the way towards their goal of £250,000. If this target is reached it will secure a closed beta on PC.
The premise will be familiar to those who've played Magic or Hearthstone, but Flaming Fowl have added in as much Fable lore as possible - with familiar locations, character cards and even a morality system.

Each match will present you with a set of quests unique to that location, and completing a quest will allow you to level up and choose whether to be good or evil. Over the course of the battle your hero will morph to reflect your alignment, changing the effects of their special abilities. Many of your other cards will also morph into more powerful variants.

New to the genre is a co-op mode, in which you and a friend team up and face off against some of Albion's toughest bosses.

Check out some of the gameplay features in the trailer below:
Fable Fortune is currently planned for Xbox One and PC, with the developers looking to release the game sometime in 2017.
