Funding secured for Fable Fortune, Kickstarter cancelled.

Fable Fortune, the collectible card game that Microsoft allowed former Lionhead employees to continue working on, will be entering closed beta now that the developers have secured funding from an unknown source.

Whilst Flaming Fowl Studios are working on getting the closed beta up and running, all Kickstarter backers will be given access to the alpha, after which they’ll be migrated over for guaranteed access. Both the alpha and the beta are exclusive to Steam currently, but the final game will be making its way to Xbox One as well.

If you aren’t a backer and have an interest in taking part, you can sign up here to be in with a chance. A pretty decent one, it seems; Flaming Fowl are seeking the highest possible volume of players to participate and help improve the final product.

It wasn't looking good for Fable Fortune, the project only managing to raise £58,852 out of the £250,000 goal with just a few days of the campaign remaining. Fable and the folks behind the franchise have been subject to their fair share of misfortune, so it’s nice to see things looking up for them.
