The cinematic delves into the re-imagined history of Homefront and tells the story of how America came to be occupied by the KPA. According to Hasit Zala, Game Director at Dambuster Studios, “The core premise of Homefront - an occupation on American soil - remains unchanged. But we have created a brand new fiction that offers a very different interpretation of how we got there.”
The alternate history dates back to the Korean War, and documents the fall of the USA as a global superpower, whilst Korea rises as another, driven by the shady APEX Corporation.

Have a look at the intro below.
Homefront puts you in the shoes of a freedom fighter, leading the revolution against an occupied military force. You’re at a huge disadvantage; the enemy has superior technology, firepower, heavy armour and air support. Sabotage, infiltration and deception are your most powerful tools as you fight to free yourself from oppression.

You’ll have to recruit revolutionaries, establish safe houses, and build improvised weapons using whatever you can find around the battlefield.

If you’re interested in exploring more of Homefront’s back-story, you can check out an in-depth timeline that spans almost 70 years. There’s also a short, fictional, documentary focusing on the rise of the APEX Corporation.
Homefront: The Revolution releases on 20 May for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
