Omicron Studio have launched a Kickstarter campaign seeking funds for a third-person action adventure title, which draws influence from favourites such as Soul Reaver, Metal Gear Solid, DOOM and The Legend of Zelda.

Players will take on the role of two protagonists, their fates entwined, as they attempt to escape the hellish dimension of Lythra. Lulu is a spirit with a dark past and no memories of who he is or why he's here. Minocar is a mysterious talking skull with an axe embedded in him, who will guide Lulu (hopefully) to freedom.

When it comes to stealth, exploration and puzzle solving, Lulu is your man. He can pass through barred doors and small cracks but he'll be forced to leave the skull behind or find another way. When there's demonic creatures in need of slaying, alters allow you to take on Minocar's physical form and gain the ability to unleash elemental explosions or summon various weapons.
The goal of combat is to destroy the physical bodies of the enemies and absorb their spirits to increase your own power. They won't make it easy though; once deprived of their bodies, the spirits will look for a way to reincarnate.

The same fate awaits players who are defeated whilst fighting as Minocar. Lulu will lose the skull and have to retrieve it. Whilst Lulu is invisible to most enemies he can be spotted by Guardian Eyes that will reveal his location.

Should the game be successfully funded, Omicron Studio’s initial plan is to release first on PC, but they haven't ruled out bringing it to consoles in the future. Check out the Kickstarter page if you'd like to back it, or just find out more about the world of Lythra and the enemies that dwell there.
