Attention loving fans of Pass the Controller, for I have news - two new challengers are approaching. From distant lands (of Spain and...Bath) these two mortals have chosen to ascend to the ranks of Team PTC to bring you guys more of the content you love.

I'll let them introduce themselves properly below (generous eh?), but, in a nutshell, Gabriella is our new Multimedia Reporter, which is the fancy way of saying she'll be working on both written and video coverage, and Alberto is our new Video Editor.

Together, and working with the rest of the team, they will help to drive our video agenda forward to new, exciting and sexy (stop it!) places.

I hope you'll all welcome them both with open arms, but feel free to leave any messages of disdain in the comments below.

Gabriella Petty
Multimedia Reporter

My name is Gabriella, I'm from a small town just outside of Bath in Wiltshire. When I'm not gaming I am battling countless wave of traffic driving to University during the week.

During my free time, if I'm not playing games, I'm more than likely writing or talking about them! I like to travel and have a few plans to explore next year. As well as this, I love to spend time with my family and attend events - albeit music or video game related. I have a HUGE love of Dogs! with a particular soft spot for Huskies and Boxers.
At this moment, my favourite game so far has been The Last of Us by Naughty Dog. For me, I felt like it broke the fourth wall for traditional 3rd person RPGs and set a benchmark in the potential video games have as an interactive storytelling medium. It had a healthy balance of challenging gameplay, exploration and its story always remained integral. Other favourites of mine include Doom, Fallout, Tomb Raider and the Uncharted series.

I was fortunate to be able to demo the PSVR at EGX this year, and for the most part, I'm very excited. I enjoy a plethora of Playstation games including their exclusives and I look forward to seeing more of VR titles such as Farpoint and Batman VR in the coming months. I feel like VR will be the perfect platform for survival horror, so I have high hopes for the reboot of Resident Evil as well this year. PSVR is competing with already established Rivals such as the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift, and in light of this I'm anticipating the direction Sony will choose to take in the coming months after the PSVR releases.
Alberto Lemas
Video Editor

Hello everyone! I’m Alberto, better known as LemaStanley and I’ll be around editing videos and maybe something else.

I’m a weird person whose brain is fueled by PMA and unicorn farts, and also you might find me playing a lot of video games or going out to concerts or just chilling with my friends. As you might have appreciated Alberto isn’t much of an english name, and that’s because I’m a spaniard with irish descent but I spent most of my schooling lost in the States.

However, let’s get to my credentials, and I’m not talking about my media background, I mean the real deal, Video Games.  I started gaming as a kid with my mother and father on various consoles, but the one I spent more time with was the PSOne and I can say I might have spent 15/16 years of my 20 years of life playing video games. And when it comes to choosing a favourite game it is very hard for me, so I’ll go with the Half-Life series, because it was the first game I remember playing it by myself, and also playing with friends online with it, but who knows maybe I put a video up someday talking about games I love.

In the long run, videogames have been a big part of my life and they will be, so who knows what the future of gaming is bringing us, the only thing I know for certain is that it will be exciting and that I’ll tag along for the ride, whether it is the Nintendo NX (SHOW IT TO US NINTENDO!) or VR or a horse that doubles up as a console,  I don’t care, because I’ll enjoy it regardless.

P.S. If you have anything to say to me, just tweet me @lemastanley
