Killing Floor 2 update adds new maps and weapons, try the game for free this week on PS4 and PC21/3/2017 Tripwire Interactive have announced the Descent Content Pack, a free update for Killing Floor 2 that introduces some new content and a new sub-mode called Holdout. The second of the two maps, Nuked, was originally created by the game’s community, but will now feature as part of the Killing Floor 2 official map line-up.
New weapons included in the update are the Stoner 63a LMG and the Spitfires, a pair of ‘fan favourite’ handguns which first rose to popularity in the original Killing Floor. To celebrate the release of the Descent Content Pack, Killing Floor 2 is currently on sale for 33% off on the PSN store, and will be free to play on PS4 thanks to a trial which begins today. The week-long free trial concludes on 28 March and includes access to the base game, as well as all the additional content released today. A slightly shorter free trial also takes place on Steam this weekend, running from Thursday 23 – Monday 27 March, with the game discounted by 50% during this time.
