Left 4 Dead spiritual successor EarthFall gets console release in July through Gearbox

​The co-op shooter, which is currently in early access on Steam, launches in July and Gearbox Publishing will be handling the distribution. Retail editions are available to pre-order now with digital versions to follow soon.

Earthfall pits up to four players against an alien horde who have invaded the Pacific Northwest. You'll be armed with an array of 3D printed weapons, barricades and heavy turrets with which to drive back the marauders.

There are a total of ten missions spread across two campaigns. Players will learn more of the story behind the invasion, and the aliens' intentions, as they progress.

Starting today, players can pre-order the only retail version, the Deluxe edition, for £39.99/$39.99 /€39.99, which features exclusive character biohazard suits and weapon skins. The standard edition will only be available via digital download and will set you back £29.99/$29.99/€29.99.
