Mafia: Trilogy now available to purchase digitally, remake of original Mafia game coming later

2K have officially released Mafia: Trilogy, a collection of all three Mafia games, across digital stores on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

Those who purchase the digital edition of Mafia: Trilogy will get immediate access to the Definitive Editions of Mafia 2 and Mafia 3, both of which include all previously released DLC, with the former benefitting from improved visuals and audio.

The bundle also includes Mafia: Definitive Edition, a remake of the 2002 original that’s been “rebuilt from the ground up” for today’s gaming machines, with dramatic improvements made to visuals and gameplay. The remake will be launching later this summer, on 28 August.

All three titles can be purchased together in the bundle or individually in their Definitive Editions.

PC users who already own Mafia 2 or Mafia 3 on Steam will be receive a free upgrade to the new editions, while PS4 and Xbox One players who own the latter can also nab a free upgrade.

A boxed edition of Mafia: Trilogy will be released on 28 August, but only in EMEA and Asia regions, not in the Americas.

Mafia: Trilogy is available to download now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

Mafia 2: Definitive Edition and Mafia 3: Definitive Edition will also be making their way to Stadia at a later date, but it’s not been confirmed when, or if, the remake of the original game will be joining them.
