Mayhem in Single Valley, a “Stranger Things meets Zelda” indie title, is coming to PC this year

Featuring a “Zelda-like vast world” and a retro-supernatural feel inspired by Stranger Things, Mayhem in Single Valley follows the story of a local boy called Jack, whose trip to the big city is interrupted by a radioactive spillage that turns all the animals in the area into violent killing machines. You can see the not-so-friendly fauna in action in the trailer below.

The game’s story is said to unfold through a “wide variety of locations,” which include underground caves and secret labs, with players taking on “dozens of unique physics and light puzzles and enemies.”

​Players will also be able to combine foodstuffs and other ingredients to “escape and/or manipulate crazed wildlife and bosses,” with enemies and NPCs said to have “a variety of motivations and fears” that you can use to your advantage.

There’s no specific release date just yet, with the game coming to PC sometime this year.
