TaleWorlds Entertainment are releasing an early access version of their medieval RPG, Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord, on PC next month. “TaleWorlds are more than familiar with this type of release after helping to pioneer Early Access as a release method with their original title, Mount & Blade, and are confident that this approach is of great value to the quality of the final product,” read the press release.
Despite a rocky start, Sam described the Xbox One port as “immense value for money” when he reviewed the game in 2016, praising its ability to “enthral for countless long play sessions.” The sequel will once again be set in the fictional land of Calradia but takes place 200 years before the events of Warband, with the old empire on the verge of collapse and several factions fighting to take control. More details about the game’s Early Access version will be shared “shortly before the release.” Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord enters Early Access on PC on 31 March. Did you play the original?
