Metro Exodus' next expansion, Sam's Story, is out now on PC and consoles

Deep Silver and 4A Games have released the second major story expansion for their post-apocalyptic shooter, Metro Exodus.

Called Sam’s Story, the DLC follows the adventure of former US Marine, Sam, who joined the Spartan Rangers after the bombs fell and teamed up with series protagonist, Artyom, in the search for life outside of the metro. Players will get to explore an “expansive sandbox survival level” filled with new characters and mutants as they help Sam find a way back to his homeland. The “huge, non-linear environment” in which the expansion is set is said to offer “hours of gameplay.”

Sam’s Story is available to purchase digitally on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC and Stadia, or as part of the game’s expansion pass.

​Also announced was the return of Metro Exodus to Steam following its removal last year and subsequent timed exclusivity deal with the Epic Games Store. The game will once again be available to purchase on Steam from 15 February.
