Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor sequel leaked

The leak comes from US retailer Target, who posted the box art and details of the game a little early. The listings have since been taken down but not before Neogaf user DeathByBacklog grabbed some screenshots.

It appears that the sequel is titled Middle-Earth: Shadow of War, and, going by the box art, we can safely assume that Talion and his ghostly companion, Celebrimbor, will return as the protagonists.

The Gold Edition includes:
 
• Slaughter Tribe Nemesis Expansion
• Outlaw Tribe Nemesis Expansion
• The Blade of Galadriel Story Expansion
• The Desolation of Mordor Story Expansion
• Gold War Chest
• Over $125 in total value
 
The two Nemesis Expansions include a new Orc Tribe featuring new enemies, followers, missions, abilities, weapons, Fortress and wilderness updates, and a Mythic Gear Set.
 
The Story Expansions introduce a new campaign, playable character & abilities, side missions, enemies, allies & more.
 
More details about the game itself were revealed in the brief description:

The release date was given as 22 August but that could be a placeholder. We'll let you know more as info is released.
