Musical action game No Straight Roads gets a June release date

Musical action-adventure game No Straight Roads is coming to PlayStation 4 and PC via the Epic Games Store this June.

Directed by ex-Final Fantasy XV lead game designer, Wan Hazmer, and former Street Fighter V concept artist, Daim Dziauddin, No Straight Roads is a “rhythm infused” combat game that features a “vibrant off-beat world and a killer soundtrack.” As Mayday and Zuke, the game’s two protagonists, players must free Vinyl City from an oppressive EDM empire by defeating bosses in battles.

James awarded No Straight Roads his pick of the show when he went hands-on with the game at last year’s EGX Rezzed. You can see more of the game in action in his video round-up above (head to the 4:00 mark for NSR) where he also spoke to developers Hazmer and Dziauddin.

A special PS4 only Collector’s Edition of the game is currently available to pre-order for £59.99/€69.99/$69.99 RRP. It includes the following goodies:

• An exclusive double-sided vinyl LP containing a selection of tracks from the game's energetic OST
• A 64-page 'The Art of NSR' artbook featuring never-before-seen artwork
• A set of official No Straight Roads drumsticks

No Straight Roads is out 30 June on PlayStation 4 and PC via Epic Games Store.
