New characters leaked for season 3 of Killer Instinct

Screenshots reveal two new fighters who could be added for the third season of Killer Instinct.

The leak comes from Shoryuken.com and shows Mira - the, apparently, deceased twin sister of Maya - and Gears Of War's General Raam.

Not much is known of series newcomer Mira, or her mysterious death - besides that she may have sacrificed herself in order to save her sister.

General Raam is the antagonist from the first Gears Of War and the third guest character to be introduced to Killer Instinct, after Halo's Arbiter and Battletoads' Rash.

Season 3 will launch with four characters; Rash, Arbiter, Kim Wu and Tusk. Another four fighters will become available as the season progresses. Eyedol and Gargos are the only two combatants from the original games not to be made playable, so there's a chance we could be seeing them.

Also revealed by the leak was a new game mode titled Shadow Lords. No details have been released yet but with the latest season due at the end of the month it shouldn't be too long until we have some more info.

Season 3 will be arriving on Xbox One and PC 29 March.
