The latest update, which will roll out to Xbox Insiders in the Alpha Ring first, brings improvements to Home, Guide and Community. When a game is added it could show an Activity Feed post from the developer, let you know when your friends are playing online, suggest an achievement and provide a shortcut to the Game Hub. Additional content blocks will be added in the coming months.
It's now faster than ever to switch between tabs in the guide so you can join friends, broadcast, switch between apps, and get back Home. There are new tab flyouts and the Guide layout has been updated making it faster and easier to navigate to the content you want to see. Sign-in, Achievements, multiplayer, People, Home and recent, messages, broadcasts and captures each have their own tab in the Guide. In the Community section, the Activity Feed has a new layout which shows more content at a glance. When looking at an item in detail it will be presented in full screen view, just as it was captured. Game Hubs, Profiles and Clubs have all been touched up to make them more "dynamic and engaging" and it should be easier to discover new Clubs and keep up to date with those you are already in. New games will be added to the Arena over the coming months adding more options for tournaments. On Windows 10, the Game bar has a switch to toggle enable or disable Game Mode on a per-game basis and broadcasting with the Game bar via Mixer will offer more choices on the audio you broadcast. An Xbox Live Network Troubleshooting option will now appear in the Settings menu in Windows 10, allowing players to resolve online issues and optimise their multiplayer experience. More major updates will be coming this year, bringing new features to Xbox One, Windows 10, Mixer and mobile devices. Have you got the new update? Liking the new dashboard?
