Ubisoft announced the news in a video, in which Lead Game Designer, Lucian Istrate, goes over what players can expect from the new mode. Ghost War pits two teams of four against each other in deathmatches set to the backdrop of “large scale” maps based on locations from the main game. Players must eliminate the other team by using a mix of “teamplay, communication and strategic skills”, according to Istrate.

There will be a variety of classes to choose from, each customisable with their own set of perks, and it also looks like Ghost War will introduce some new gameplay features, including a suppression system and sound markers that alert you to where a shot came from.
 
The beta will be available on Xbox One, PS4 and PC later this summer, with the full mode launching for free sometime in autumn.
