Persona 5 trailer introduces Palaces

This other world, the Metaverse, is the "collective unconscious" of all mankind. In this world people's desires are manifest as Palaces, and it's up to the Phantom Thieves to infiltrate these Palaces and defeat the Shadows that lurk within. ​

The team picks a target, figures out key information about them, and plugs the info into their Metaverse Navigator to gain access. Once inside they must fight enemies, solve puzzles, eliminate the Palace leader and steal the target’s deepest, darkest desire, which takes the form of treasure. Once the deed is done, the target will realise the enormity of their desire and, hopefully, change for the better.

You won't always have to fight the Shadows that dwell inside these Palaces; you may be able to sneak by them or use a more diplomatic approach. Players may be able to hold up the Shadows to negotiate with them to gain money, items or a chance to avoid the battle entirely. You could even convince them to join your group and use them as a Persona.

Persona 5 launches 4 April on PS4 and PS3.
