Play Mortal Kombat 11 free this weekend, The Terminator early access begins today

From today until Monday, NetherRealm Studios are inviting Xbox One and PS4 owners to try out Mortal Kombat 11 for free.

The trial grants access to two chapters of Story mode, 1v1 local and online matches with the base roster, The Krypt, Fatality Training and Towers of Time. Any progress will carry over if you decide to purchase the full game, which is on sale for the duration of the trial.

Early Access for The Terminator is now available with the Kombat Pack, or you can jump into the Towers of Time during the free weekend to play as Arnie (along with fellow DLC fighters, Nightwolf and Shang Tsung).

Sam called out the "gorgeously gruesome audiovisuals" and "gratifyingly balanced kombat systems" in our review back in April, giving Mortal Kombat 11 a very respectable 8/10.
