A sequel to Slightly Mad Studios' Project Cars was announced a while back, but, if the video is legitimate, this is the first time we've seen any footage.

The original was largely well-received, but a few quibbles stopped it short of greatness. We’d hope that the sequel will aim to eradicate any gripes and add more of the good stuff; namely tracks, cars and modes.

There seems to be a big focus on weather effects as we see snow, wind, rain, and a time lapse shot of a slowly expanding puddle.

The main draw, of course, will be the cars themselves, and there looks to be a wide enough range to keep things fresh - from rally cars to more exotic supercars.

The original Project Cars will be free as part of the Games with Gold program later this month. See if it’s worth a download in our video review below.
