Q.U.B.E 2 is coming to consoles and PC next year

Toxic Games have announced a sequel to their award-winning block-based puzzler Q.U.B.E. which will be launching early next year.

Set on an alien planet, the game tasks players with overcoming the challenges of the Q.U.B.E and finding a way back home. Players will step into the role of archaeologist Amelia Cross, who must team up with another survivor, Emma, to beat the shifting, environmental puzzles and find a way off the “beautiful yet mysterious” planet.

Managing Director of Toxic Games, Dan Da Rocha, spoke about how the sequel would allow players more options than the original game did when it comes to tackling puzzles:
 
“With Q.U.B.E 2 we want to give the player more story but we also want to give them more choice. We’ve developed the tools players can use to solve puzzles, subverting the linearity of the original in favour of something more open, something that allows players to put their own stamp on solutions.”
