Rad Rodgers announced for Xbox One and PS4, free update coming to PC version

THQ Nordic have announced plans to bring Interceptor Entertainment’s platformer to Xbox One and PS4, though sadly there’s no news of a Switch version for the moment.

The game originally launched on PC back in 2016, and arrives on Microsoft and Sony’s consoles with a few new additions, which will also be coming to the PC version as part of a free update. These include leaderboards, more cosmetic items, new pogo vertical levels, two mini bosses and four new enemy types, plus the Excalibat weapon which turns players invincible.

Rad Rogers follows the story of a boy and his sentient games console as they fight their way through a host of enemies and levels after a vortex pulls them into a living game world.
 
Heavily influenced by 90s platformers such as Commander Keen, Conker, Ruff'n'Tumble & Jazz Jackrabbit, Rad Rodgers features “action-packed, humour-filled, hardcore platforming fun,” all set to a suitably retro inspired soundtrack.
 
Rad Rodgers is out 21 February on Xbox One and PS4 and has an RRP of €19.99 (or regional equivalent).
