Rebellion unveil the new-look Rogue Trooper character model

Rogue Trooper Redux, a remaster of the 2006 shooter, Rogue Trooper, is currently in the works over at Rebellion, and the developer/publisher have given us our first look at how the remaster is coming along by showing off the updated Rogue model.

In case you’re unfamiliar with the character, Rogue is a bio-engineered super soldier known as a Genetic Infantrymen, or GI. These enhanced soldiers are altered to withstand the toxic atmosphere of Nu Earth, and were created by the Southers for use in their war with the colonial Nort regime. Still a bit lost? Well, Rebellion have kindly provided a video that gives a brief overview of what Rogue Trooper is all about, as well as giving us a look at the new character model.

According to Rebellion, the new-look Rogue is inspired by the “classic, slicker style” from the original 2000 AD Rogue Trooper comics, and has been built from the ground up using “current-gen quality materials and higher resolution geometry.”
 
Rogue Trooper Redux is out later this year on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC. Let us know your thoughts on the remaster below or in the forums.
