Rockstar will begin rolling out access to Red Dead Online later today, with a full public launch planned for later in the week. Anyone who played the game between 26 – 29 October will be added to the fold on Thursday, while Friday sees the service open to all Red Dead Redemption 2 players.
Players will be able to create and customise their own character, tailoring abilities to suit their play style while exploring the “living online world” solo or with a Posse of up to seven friends. Activities include taking on rival gangs, fishing, treasure hunting or just relaxing around a campfire. Posses can take each other on in “spontaneous skirmishes and pitched set-piece battles” while characters from the main game are also said to make an appearance. “Red Dead Online blends the classic multiplayer of the original Red Dead Redemption with the best of everything we have learned since then about creating deep multiplayer experiences,” read Rockstar’s post. “The result is something completely new and fun, and an experience that will continue to expand and evolve over time.” Are you looking forward to Red Dead Online?
