Remedy’s Quantum Break has done considerably well since it released last week, topping the UK all
format charts and quickly becoming Microsoft’s bestselling new IP.

Despite the success, a number of bugs and performance issues - most notably with the Windows 10 version - have blighted the gameplay experience for a number of players.
Remedy took to the Quantum Break community forum in order to offer a response, outlining how they plan to resolve the numerous issues affecting gameplay, as well as detailing a few requested features that will be added in the future; such as the option to enable and disable film grain effect.

Key Windows 10 issues being addressed are:

  • Stuttering and framerate issues: This was apparently due to “a major rounding error introduced into our refresh rate predictions on shipping” according to Remedy, who are already working on a fix which should go live with a title update launching in the near future.
  • Performance issues: Long play sessions can cause video memory to become fragmented, causing rendering issues.
  • Crashing on launch: A fix is being worked on for a future update.
  • No option to quit from main menu: Currently players need to use Alt+F4 or move the cursor to the top right of the screen to see the X to exit the game. An option to exit from the game’s main menu will be added in an upcoming title update.

You can read the full list of planned fixes and performance tweaks for both the PC and Xbox versions in Remedy's full post over at the game’s official forum.
