RIDE 4 Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 versions announced, free for current-gen owners

Milestone have announced next-generation Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 editions of motorcycle racing game RIDE 4, which releases on current-gen consoles this October.

Those who purchase the game on Xbox One or PS4 will be given a free upgrade to the respective next-gen edition when those versions release next year on 30 April. PlayStation users will be able to download and play any purchased DLCs on the PS5, although, strangely, there’s no mention in the press release of the same feature for upgrading Xbox players.

Both next-gen editions will support 60FPS gameplay and 4K resolutions, with up to 20 riders able to compete in both online and offline races. 

The PS5 version will make use of the DualSense controller’s advanced haptic feedback feature to simulate varying degrees of gas and break lever resistance. Meanwhile, the console’s powerful SSD will be used to “significantly” cut loading times.

RIDE 4 is out 8 October on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC via Steam. XSX and PS5 versions will launch 30 April 2021.
