Bandai Namco’s recent collaborations with Nintendo include work on the Wii U and 3DS versions of Super Smash Bros., as well as Pokkén Tournament. These reports seemed to be corroborated by one of the studio’s staff, who listed an “unannounced IP (first person shooter/adventure exclusive to the Nintendo Switch)” on their LinkedIn profile.
Metroid Prime 4 was announced during last year’s E3 event, with Nintendo revealing the game was currently in development for the Switch with the short teaser trailer above. Very little official news has been released regarding the next chapter in Samus’ adventures since then, other than the publisher confirming series’ veteran Kensuke Tanabe will be producing the upcoming title, and that the developers of the original Metroid Prime trilogy, Retro Studios, are not involved.
