Secret of Mana is being remade for PC, PS4 and PS Vita

Square Enix have announced the classic action RPG featuring Randi, Primm and Popoi is being remade for today’s gaming machines.

Originally released in 1993, the remake is coming to Steam, PS4 and Vita early next year with “revamped 3D visuals and upgraded gameplay”, as well as a newly arranged musical score and voiced characters. The original gameplay system is being reworked to help bring it in line with modern action RPGs, and several core scenes are set to be “newly visualized” in-game.

Those who pre-order through the PlayStation Store will receive a selection of character avatars and special character costumes, including the “Moogle Suit for Randi, Primm and Popoi, Tiger Two-Piece for Primm and Tiger Suit for Randi and Popoi.”

Steam users can also pick up the pre-order bonuses, plus a downloadable wallpaper, if they purchase the Day 1 Edition of the remake, which will be available for a week after the game releases.
