Over at Gamescom 2018, Koch Media and YS Net Inc. showed a new teaser trailer for Shenmue III, which culminated in the reveal of a release date.

On 27 August 2019, after what will be an almost 18 year hiatus, players can continue the story of Ryo Hazuki as he investigates the murder of his father and gets pulled ever deeper into the mystery.

Those looking to get their Shenmue fix before a year has passed, or anyone wanting to get caught up on the series, should be happy to know that the first two games in the eventual trilogy have been remastered for today’s gaming machines and are available now as a bundle on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
