Activision are reportedly working on a remaster of the original Spyro trilogy as a timed exclusive for PlayStation 4.
An official announcement could be made as early as next month, according to Kotaku’s sources, with Q3 2018 touted as a potential launch window, specifically September, which happens to be the 20th anniversary of the first game, Spyro the Dragon.
The game is apparently being worked on by Vicarious Visions, the team behind the aforementioned Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy. The Spyro remaster is said to be a one-year timed exclusive for PlayStation 4, before launching on other platforms sometime in 2019. A similar exclusivity deal is believed to be in place with the Crash remaster, which could be appearing on other platforms later this year. What do you think of the rumours?
