Square Enix and People Can Fly are working together on a new AAA game

Square Enix, the studio behind the Tomb Raider and Deus Ex franchises, have teamed up with Gears of War: Judgment and Bulletstorm developer, People Can Fly, to develop a new AAA game.

No details were given on what the collaborative project entails, just that it will be a “new high-end original title” that will be available on consoles and PC. Head of Studio at Square Enix London Studios, Lee Singleton, said of the new partnership that they are “massively excited to be working with the talented team at PCF in Warsaw, a studio filled with people who really know their craft,” noting that the new game is something “we all want to play” and that it will be “the perfect addition to our portfolio”.

These were thoughts echoed by People Can Fly’s Sebastian Wojciechowski, who said it was an “exciting time” for the Warsaw based studio: “We’ve got a great and experienced team in place, and it’s incredible to be working with Square Enix, a world-class publisher who shares our passion and excitement for the project.”
 
Whatever Square Enix and People Can Fly are cooking up together, it doesn’t look like we’ll be hearing or seeing any more about it in the immediate future, with the former confirming that the as of yet unnamed project will not be featuring in their E3 line-up later this month.
