In Star Trek: Bridge Crew, players step into the role of either Captain, Helm, Tactical or Engineer aboard the U.S.S Aegis, whose mission is to explore an uncharted sector of space. Both the campaign and the Ongoing Voyages mode – which creates random missions for players to tackle aboard the Aegis or the original TV series’ Enterprise – can be played either solo or co-operatively online.

Bridge Crew utilises full body avatars, hand tracking and real-time lip-sync to fully immerse players into the role of a Starfleet Officer.
 
Ubisoft also announced an experimental beta is set to take place this summer, which will see players able to use their own voice and natural-language commands to give orders to their virtual crew members thanks to the IBM Watson technology, which allows for “interactive speech and cognitive capabilities.”
