Star Wars Battlefront II open beta now live

The pre-order exclusivity has ended and everyone is free to get stuck into the Battlefront II beta.

PC players may want to start downloading now as the beta clocks in at a hefty 22.8 GB. The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions will be slightly more manageable, with the former taking up 15.3 GB of space and the latter 13.2 GB.

​The beta includes Galactic Assault on Naboo, Starfighter Assault on Fondor and the new Strike mode which takes place in Maz Kanata's castle on Takodana. Arcade mode will be available in single player and these scenarios take place on Theed.

Daily challenges will be available throughout, completion of which will grant rewards that can be used in the beta.

The beta ends on Monday at 5pm and everyone who participates will be awarded a Founder's Crate at launch, containing credits, an exclusive Darth Maul emote and a rare trooper Star Card.
