Telltale's Batman to release this summer20/3/2016 The developers shared a few details at the SXSW festival. Telltale are remaining tight-lipped when it comes to the villains, however, only stating that there will be more than one.
Batman will play in a similar way to the other Telltale games you know and love. Pierre Shorette, lead writer for the series remarked, "There are plenty of games out there that have explored what it is to feel like Batman, I think a Telltale series is going to give you an insight in what it's like to be Bruce day-to-day and see how that affects life as Batman". Players will be given the choice to deal with certain situations as either Batman or Bruce, with the decisions you make as one potentially having an effect on the other. The actions you take will shape the Gotham that Bruce deals with during the day and the criminals that Batman will encounter at night. The series will be set in its own Bat-universe completely removed from any comic books, films or tv shows. This means the writers can be as creative as they want without having to worry about continuity. It will also carry an 18 rating so we could see a darker, grittier Batman, which would fit in nicely with Telltale's M.O.
