The Division Last Stand DLC and Update 1.6 go live tomorrow alongside a free trial

The final of The Division’s three major expansions, Last Stand, will be available to download on all platforms from tomorrow as part of the game’s season pass or as a standalone purchase.

Last Stand introduces an 8v8 PvP mode which pits Division and Rogue agents against each other in a “session-based adversarial game mode featuring clear objectives and win conditions” set in three new areas of the game’s Dark Zone, where the two teams will face off against each other for control of SHD tech data terminals.

Also included in the final expansion is the Stolen Signal incursion, which tasks players with taking back the Channel 93 television studios from the brutal control of the Rikers.
 
Update 1.6 will be available for free to all Division players and features the following:

• Expanded Dark Zone map with three new areas unlocked
• New Contamination events that take place in an underground location in the Dark Zone
• New exotic weapons and landmarks
• Dark Zone leaderboards
• New Legendary mode which provides an increased challenge for the top players
• PvP and PvE balancing changes

 
Lastly, Ubisoft have announced a free trial for The Division which will go live for Xbox One and PC players tomorrow, while PS4 users will have to wait until 9 March.

The trial lasts until players reach level eight or have completed six hours of playtime, granting full access to the base game, including the Dark Zone, and can be played either solo or in coop.
