The Elder Scrolls Online goes free to play for a week

Bethesda and ZeniMax Online are letting everyone try their Tamriel-set MMO for free this week, with Xbox One, PS4 and PC users all able to download and play ESO from 11 – 18 April.

There are no restrictions during the free play week, with players able to go “where you want, when you want, and with who you want”. Bethesda are also gifting new players with 500 Crowns which can be used to buy unique outfits and pets for their character, all of which will carry over should you decide to purchase the game.

Both the base version and Gold Edition of the game are discounted during the free play week, the latter of which includes the four major expansion packs: Imperial City, Orsinium, Thieves Guild, and The Dark Brotherhood.
 
Bethesda recently announced the next chapter in The Elder Scrolls Online series will see players returning to Morrowind in what will be the biggest expansion yet.
