The highly anticipated player housing feature will be coming to the game early next year, ZeniMax and Bethesda have confirmed. Houses can be purchased unfurnished for gold or Crowns, while fully furnished homes are only available via the game’s Crown Store. ZeniMax confirmed that in the future there will be Crown Store exclusive properties, “including a luxurious island retreat.” Before buying a property in a new area, players must first pass a few quests given to them by the inhabitants of the area to see if they are worthy. There won't be any houses available to purchase in areas which come as part of any DLC expansions, but players can own multiple homes across Tamriel.
Races aren’t tied to certain designs, so a Nord can own a Khajiit style home, for example, but Imperial style properties will only be available to those who own the Imperial Edition of the game. Other features of the Homestead update include:
Homestead is out sometime in February on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, while PC and Mac users will be able to try it out a little earlier by joining the ESO Public Test Server this January.
