Available as a free download, the game has been specifically crafted for iOS and Android mobile devices. Gameplay is said to be a mix of melee combat, base building, trap laying and “fun card collecting”. Like the source material, Survivors takes place on a tropical island and will also feature references and Easter eggs from the original game.

Here’s a rundown of the game’s key features:

• Collect iconic heroes to face the zombies
• Build your base with cunning traps to fend off the hordes
