To celebrate the game’s arrival on Microsoft’s console, developers WeirdBeard Games will be releasing a brand-new single player mode alongside the Xbox One version. While details on the new single player mode were light on the ground, it was confirmed that the mode would be available first on Xbox One, with PlayStation 4 and PC players set to receive it sometime after.
As well as news of the games impending arrival on Xbox One, WeirdBeard also shared details of Tricky Towers’ latest DLC, the Indie Friends Pack, which is available from today.

As the name suggests, the Indie Friends Pack adds a number of characters from fellow indie titles for use in-game, including the “rad(ioactive) Fish from Nuclear Throne, heavy metal Clunk from Awesomenauts, totally regular parent Octodad, Wolf Clan representative Thane from Armello, tap dancing Candy Man from Lethal League, and last but not least, the Last of the Order from TowerFall.”

The Indie Friends Pack is available now from PlayStation Store and Steam for €2,99 (or regional equivalent) and if you own Awesomenauts, Armello, Octodad, Nuclear Throne or Lethal League you’ll get a 10% discount per game.

Co-founder of WeirdBeard Games, Niels Monshouwer, reckons the addition of other notable characters from the indie scene is a great way to treat fans of the indie genre.

“As indie developers share their love of making games, so do indie fans share a love of playing indie games,” he said, “so this DLC seemed like a perfect way to bring everyone together.’’
