Ubisoft announce For Honor season pass, open beta starts next week

The season pass can be purchased digitally or players can get it bundled with the base game when purchasing For Honor Gold Edition. It grants access to some exclusive goodies, but it seems like For Honor will follow in Rainbow Six: Siege’s footsteps when it comes to post-launch updates.

Content will be released in seasons. Each new season will mark the end of one Faction War and the start of the next. It will also bring in new content such as Heroes, maps, modes and gear; most of which will be free to all players.

The benefits of the season pass include:

• 6 all-new Heroes, available seven days before they’re released to all players
  
• 6 elite outfits to customise the new Heroes
  
• Day One War Pack
  

The Day One War Pack contains:

• 1 exclusive sunbeam effect on emotes for all Heroes
  
• 3 exclusive emblem outlines
  
• 3 scavenger crates to unlock additional gear
  
• 30-day Champion Status that gives XP boosts to friends, more XP from crafting and additional end-match loot​
  

Those without the season pass will still get all maps and modes for free, whilst Heroes can be purchased with in-game silver a week after they are released to season pass owners.

If you’re still undecided, or didn't participate in the recent closed beta, there will be an open beta running from 9 - 12 February.

For Honor launches 14 February on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
