Following our world exclusive teaser yesterday, Fatshark proceeded to share lots of juicy info on their upcoming Vermintide sequel. There are a total of fifteen career paths available, three for each hero, all offering up different play styles thanks to them carrying their own unique talent trees, abilities, weapons and equipment. The revamped loot system ties rewards to the hero and career you’re currently playing, and will award relevant gear at the end of each mission. Alongside the wide range of levels available, the Heroic Deeds system offers a slightly different take on the standard four-player missions. These consumable quests take place in strange new settings and dramatically change the mix of enemies you'll face, limit the use of weapons and abilities, or give strange mission objectives. The developers believe they have surpassed the achievements of Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide. Martin Wahlund, CEO of Fatshark, had this to say: "Vermintide 2 is the evolution of the genre. If you liked the first game, you’ll love the second. We have listened to the community, analyzed hours and hours of online playthroughs, and combined this with our passion for co-op games to bring you the very best experience possible.” Another livestream in December will shed some light on their plans for Twitch integration, but, in the meantime, you can watch the gameplay trailer or catch up on yesterday's stream in full below. Warhammer: Vermintide 2 launches on PC and consoles in the first quarter of 2018. You can pre-order on Steam now to receive a 10% discount, access to the pre-order beta, and the upcoming DLC for the first Vermintide game, Death on the Reik.
