Xbox Game Pass now available for Xbox Live Gold subscribers

Xbox Live Gold subscribers can try out Xbox’s new digital gaming subscription service from today, Microsoft have announced.

Xbox Game Pass was revealed earlier in the year, and grants subscribers unlimited access to over 100 Xbox One and Xbox 360 games, with some games rotated out in place of new titles every month. The service costs $9.99 (or the regional equivalent) per month, with subscribers able to purchase any title and related DLC from the Game Pass library at a discounted rate should they wish to keep a specific game permanently.

From today, Xbox Live Gold subscribers can try the service for free thanks to a 14-day trial, while all other Xbox Live users will be granted access from 1 June.
 
Top games featuring in Game Pass’ launch month include: Halo 5, Payday 2, NBA 2K16, LEGO Batman, Gears of War 1 – 3, Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, Borderlands, Saints Row IV: Re-Elected, The Golf Club, Terraria, Resident Evil 0, XCOM: Enemy Within, Mad Max, and Knight Squad.
 
Microsoft intend to add more games each month that cover a broad “diversity of experiences, genres, ratings and more” so subscribers always have “something new to play”.
