Participants will have access to three of the game's six Combat Rigs, each one tailored to a different play style. The Warfighter Rig is best suited for medium range assaults, the Merc is for those interested in heavy weapons and defence, whilst the Synaptic is designed for speed and close quarters combat. Players will also be able to test out a new feature called Mission Teams. Challenges will be set by each team's mission commander, completion of which will earn you special rewards like prototype weapons or cosmetic items. Bethesda have announced that not only will the titles be updated to support mods, but they'll also be PS4 Pro compatible. Aside from the header screenshot, Bethesda have released two more images to show how Skyrim should look. Whilst this is great news for PS4 owners, it does come with a caveat; straight from Bethesda themselves:
"You will not be able to upload external assets with your PlayStation 4 mods, but you will be able to use any assets that come with the game, as most mods do." This means that only assets found in the base game and any DLC can be used in PS4 compatible mods. As stated, most mods use assets from in game so it won't have a huge impact on what is available, but if you were hoping for Nicolas Cage or Thomas the Tank Engine to make an appearance you will be disappointed. Excited about mod support for PS4? Looking forward to the enhanced visuals Pro will offer? Share your sadness about the exclusion of Mr. Cage in the forums or comments below. The Pokémon Company have released some new information about the next generation of Pokémon games. Dartrix Type: Grass-Flying “The Blade Quill Pokémon Dartrix evolves from Rowlet. Dartrix attacks by throwing its knife-edged feathers, and it possesses extremely sharp senses. This Pokémon can detect opponents behind it and can throw feathers to strike them without even seeing them. This Pokémon cares a great deal about its appearance, grooming its feathers in every spare moment it has.” Torracat Type: Fire “The Fire Cat Pokémon Torracat evolves from Litten. This Pokémon produces flames for its attacks from a bell-like sac attached at the base of its throat. Torracat has a great love for battle and will attack relentlessly. Its mane can sense what is going on around it, even in the dark, and is able to detect the presence of hidden enemies.” Brionne Type: Water “The Pop Star Pokémon Brionne evolves from Popplio. Brionne can dance in perfect time with others and is always cheery and positive. A very hard worker, Brionne learns dances by imitating other members of its colony and can sometimes even learn dances from humans. As this Pokémon dances, it creates balloons and slaps them into its target, making them explode and deal damage to its opponents.” Communication features in the two new games are being gathered together in the ‘Festival Plaza’. Here, players that are nearby or are connected to the internet while playing Sun or Moon can battle, trade, talk, and interact with each other to earn Festival Coins. These Coins can be used in dye houses, goody shops (where rare items are sold), or even on a bouncy castle for your Pokémon to train in. The more Festival Coins that are earned the more a player’s Plaza will level up, granting access to more activities and yielding more rewards. Level up enough and players will be able host missions, allowing multiple players to work together towards certain goals. The Pokémon Company also detailed a new feature called ‘Poké Pelago’: “In Poké Pelago, Pokémon that are stored in a PC Box can explore a variety of isles, play on athletic equipment and enjoy other fun activities. If players send many Pokémon to Poké Pelago, they can develop more facilities on the isles and also develop new kinds of isles. As these isles are developed and increase in number, they will allow players to obtain items and even raise Pokémon.” As was mentioned earlier, Mega Evolutions are back. Pokémon that had the ability to Mega Evolve in previous Pokémon games will be able to do so again in Sun and Moon, with Mega Stones obtained through in-game characters or stores. The demo will release 18 October, and gives players their first introduction to the Alola region. The demo will feature Ash-Greninja, a Pokémon that appeared alongside Ash in the TV series XYZ, and will be transferable to the full games when they release on 23 November.
