Rocket League enters PlayStation Cross-Play Beta program

Sharing the news via a blog post, Jeremy Dunham, Vice President of Publishing at Psyonix, announced that PS4, Xbox One, Switch and PC players can now matchmake with or against each other in Rocket League.

Cross-platform play is enabled by default for all online game modes and a new party system is planned to go live with the first update of the year, but until then it's possible to create or join a private match to group up with friends on other systems.

Dunham signed off with a message of thanks to fans.

"It's because of YOU, our fans, and our generous partners on all systems and services that have made this possible in the first place. On behalf of the entire team, THANK YOU for your passion and persistence as we continue to do our best to make Rocket League the best experience we can."

Rocket League is the second title to enter the program after Fortnite was given the cross-play treatment a few months back.
