The expansion in question will feature four-player competitive Battle Arenas, bigger adventure worlds and the introduction of story packs. No new starter pack is required - packs will work with the existing LEGO Toy Pad, and everything from waves 1-9 will be interchangeable. Tom Stone, Managing Director of TT Games had this to say: “We can now provide players with even more customization and mash-up opportunities, and all are compatible with the existing game and packs. Battle Arenas also introduce a fun new way for friends and family to join the action together and battle as favorite characters, which is an exciting innovation for LEGO videogames.” Have a look at the trailer below and see how many faces you recognize. Skyrim remaster confirmed via leak9/6/2016 UK retailer Base have posted a listing for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - Definitive Edition earlier than planned; the listing not only confirms the game’s existence, but also reveals a 23 November 2016 release date. A user on Neogaf by the name of Enter the Dragon Punch has claimed that the remaster will feature "mods, all DLC and improved visuals” - we’d certainly hope so!
Skyrim was already a huge game, made even bigger by two decently sized new DLC locations, so if even a small percentage of PC mods are ported over to consoles it’ll be one hell of a significant package. It’s all but guaranteed we’ll see the game in action during Bethesda's E3 briefing. For details on when that occurs, check out our [E3 schedule], then be sure to join us in our shiny new [E3 Hub] to catch the action live. Are you excited to revisit Skyrim? Perhaps even delve in for the first time? Or were you hoping another game would be the one to receive a fresh lick of paint? Let us know in the forum. It looks like Dead Rising 4 is set for an official E3 reveal next week, as ThisGenGaming shared a number of screenshots from the purported sequel. If you hadn’t figured it out yet, the rumours suggest it’s a remake that’ll feature up to four-player co-op. Some are also claiming that the game will be much larger this time around, featuring not only the shopping mall, but the surrounding areas too. Kotaku's Jason Schreier also had a zombie-themed prediction to make: We don't know how much, if any, of this is true, but we'll presumably find out during Microsoft's E3 presentation at 17:30 BST on Monday. According to industry insider, Shinobi602, Bethesda will re-announce the previously cancelled Prey 2 during their conference. He claims that the title won't actually be named Prey 2, that it has been completely reworked, and that it will be similar to System Shock. Whilst speaking on the MrMattyPlays podcast, Shinobi also stated; “I would expect a remaster of something." The rumour mill is suggesting that this could be The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, which seems the likely option, considering some of the work was already done when staff worked on porting it as initial practice developing for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Also reported to be shown at the briefing are sequels to Wolfenstein and The Evil Within. Guerrilla Games’ PS4 exclusive RPG, Horizon Zero Dawn, has been pushed back to March 2017. It’s not all bad news, as the title does have a new trailer and the Collector's Edition contents have been revealed. The Collector's Edition will net you:
BATMAN - A Telltale Series and Season 3 of The Walking Dead will both launch this year. According to a tweet by Telltale's Job Stauffer, BATMAN will release in the summer, whilst TWD will arrive in Autumn. A cheeky hint seems to suggest that BATMAN could release very soon. Yooka-Laylee, the open world platformer that saw Kickstarter success, has received a new gameplay trailer and release date. Playtonic Games have decided to hold it back until the first quarter of 2017, stating; "While we felt confident we could ship the game in October as originally projected in our Kickstarter, the Playtonic team has decided that it would prefer to add a few extra months’ polish to the game schedule." Here’s that trailer: More Yooka-Laylee screenshots and videos have been promised between now and the end of E3, so keep your eyes peeled if you’re interested in seeing more. Previously a PC exclusive, it’s been revealed that XCOM 2 will be coming to Xbox One and PS4 in September via the below trailer. The original will be free to Xbox Live Gold members later this month. Enemy Unknown and its expansion did surprisingly well, considering challenging strategy games aren’t exactly prime console fodder, so Firaxis will undoubtedly hope to rekindle that success. The world premiere of Watch_Dogs 2 has been teased by Ubisoft, as you’ll have undoubtedly seen if you’ve visited the likes of Twitch recently. There are no further details as of yet, but the reveal is planned for 17:00 BST tomorrow, so we'll keep you informed. A new Xbox One update is currently rolling out to members of the preview program, which includes an improved Game Collection interface, the ability to personalise what you see on your activity feed, easier ways to share game clips and images, and the introduction of Cortana - Microsoft's Siri-like assistant. See it in action below: Following widespread speculation, Ubisoft have officially shared the first details of Watch Dogs 2 which launches across Xbox One, PS4 and PC on 15 November. Having previously witnessed injustices by the system's crime prevention algorithm, Marcus now finds himself blamed for a crime he didn't commit. This time you won't be alone, as you'll team up with DedSec - the hacking group from the first game... Together you'll fight to wrestle control from corrupt corporations and security forces, as well as taking on criminal gangs and rival hackers. Meet Marcus in this offbeat trailer (which manages to cram in both 3D printing and drones in one fell swoop): There's also a more traditional CGI trailer: Ubisoft have listened to the criticisms of the first game and tried to remedy them in the sequel. Instead of unlocking towers, you'll discover stories and gain rewards by exploring and interacting with the world, which will be fully open from the start.
The very core of the game, hacking, has been expanded. Every character, vehicle and electronic device can be toyed with in multiple ways. New tools, weapons and hacks have been added, as well as a new melee weapon, the Thunderball. There's also a deeper level of customisation available for your character, weapons and vehicles. Your customisation will be reflected during online play too, which features revamped PvP and, a series first, co-op play. You can pre-order, details of which can be found on the Ubisoft store, but it remains to be seen whether the game will fall into the same trap as its predecessor, as the CGI trailer in particular sets a certain visual standard which rivals the mighty GTAV, will it look this good on 15 November? Were you a fan of the first Watch Dogs? Considering picking this up? Let us know in the forums. Injustice 2 announced and trailered8/6/2016 Following recent leaks and speculation, Warner Bros. have announced that a sequel to Injustice: Gods Among Us will be releasing in 2017. NetherRealm Studios are also adding new environments that feature ramped-up environmental destruction and interaction. In addition, there’s a new Gear System; an RPG-like mechanic that rewards you with loot boxes every time you play. You'll unlock character specific gear that will change the way your fighters look and feel, each new upgrade potentially allowing you new strategies to defeat your enemies. Have a look at the trailer below: We're sure more info will be released as we edge ever closer to E3.
What do think of the trailer? Let us know in the forums. The pre-E3 news train continues with the announcement of a brand new mode - Breach. An addition to the augment-em-up gameplay of the main single player campaign, Breach lets Adam Jensen take a break as you take on the role of a Ripper, a type of hacker who doesn’t just punch a few keys on a keyboard to break into a system, but jumps in and takes on the fight head on. The trailer (above) shows off the mode’s distinct visual style, which is very much in keeping with the style of its parent game. The mode seems to consist of a series of ever increasing challenges, in which you’ll face off against digital interpretations of mechs, turrets and other enemies in your search for the truth (or data, as a layman may call it). Here's some more images for your perusal: There’s plenty of familiar additions thrown into the mix to give things a more customised feel, players can introduce infections which increase the level’s difficulty in a specific way (not unlike Halo’s skull modifiers) and you can challenge your friends to beat your score on specific maps.
There’s also going to be a mobile game, called Deus Ex Go, which shares many similarities to Hitman Go and is described as a ‘turn-based infiltration puzzle game’. What do you make of these latest additions to the world of Deus Ex? Does Breach make you more likely to give Mankind Divided a go when it’s released on 23 August on Xbox One, PS4 and PC? Let us know in the Forums. Xbox Live Gold subscribers can download the GTA-inspired, open world, action MMO for free now.
