Rumours have been circling today suggesting Nintendo are planning to release a new iteration of their hybrid console sometime next year.
Naturally, with no official confirmation from Nintendo themselves, this is all rumour and speculation for now.
Given the company’s history of releasing revised editions of their consoles – particularly handhelds – it’s certainly a possibility, however. We even came up with a few changes we’d like to see in any future redesign. What changes would you like to see made to the Switch, if any? Let us know below. Fat Dog Games and Solid9 Studio have revealed the Switch launch date for the fantasy RPG Exorder with a new trailer, and shared the news that Switch owners will be able to go head-to-head with PC players. There are over 10 distinct battle units to command, each with their own skills, and a total of 8 skirmish maps.
“Through Exorder’s development, it was always important to us that it felt like a rewarding experience to our players, regardless of platform, location or time invested,” said Darek Skrzypkowski, CEO, Fat Dog Games. “That’s why we made sure to tear down those common multiplayer barriers to make combat easy and enjoyable for newcomers and veterans alike." Exorder his Nintendo Switch on 16 October and can be yours for $12.99 (or regional equivalent). Let us know if you plan on picking this up below or over in the forums. Blowfish Studios are publishing the debut title from Mistfly Games, Subdivision Infinity DX, a "pulse-pounding sci-fi 3D space shooter," planned for release on Xbox One, PS4, Switch, and Steam in 2019. There are over 40 campaign missions and side quests spanning several different star systems with dogfights and boss battles.
Along with the core narrative, Subdivision Infinity features optional content that players can engage in as they explore, such as taking on bounties, mining asteroids for rare minerals, unlocking new ships, and crafting powerful upgrades. “Exploring outer space in Subdivision Infinity DX is an absolute blast,” said Ben Lee, founder, Blowfish Studios. “We look forward to allowing players to live out their sci-fi fantasies in the game when it launches for PC and consoles early next year.” What do you think of the trailer? Let us know below or over in the forums. Gunfire Games and THQ Nordiq have released a new trailer for Darksiders III which showcases one of Fury's four Hollows. The Force Hollow allows for precise and concentrated attacks. Her whip, Scorn, takes on the appearance of a giant hammer which can be used to shatter defences and inflict severe damage. Fury can also draw in energy, rubble and even enemies before releasing it all in an explosive blast.
Darksiders III launches 27 November on Xbox One, PS4 and PC. There's a couple of Special Editions available for pre-order which we've detailed previously. What do you think of Fury's Force Hollow? Looking forward to Darksiders III? Let us know below or over in the forums. Warner Bros. have released the third instalment in their ‘How to Hitman’ series, showcasing some of the game’s core mechanics. Other less lethal objects, such as mirrors, also prove handy, with players able to use them to keep an eye on targets around corners. But watch out, as enemies will be able to spot your reflection the same way.
HITMAN 2 arrives on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on 13 November, but those who pre-order the game will be granted early access to the standalone Sniper Assassin mode, a co-op experience that allows two people to team up and take down targets together. The mode currently features a special challenge where players can compete for the chance to have their name and likeness included in future HITMAN 2 content. You can find more details on how to enter here. Let us know your thoughts on HITMAN 2 below or over in the forums. ENDED: Friday the 13th giveaway1/10/2018
