Hidetaka ‘"Swery" Suehiro (best known for Deadly Premonition and D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die) is collaborating with Arc System Works (Dragonball Fighterz) on an enigmatic new project which will "blow your mind." The Missing will be the debut game from his new studio, White Owls. “The title, "THE MISSING", has many meanings. A missing person, someone who’s lost, or even something lost… Maybe it’s your loved one… or a place you belong. Do you ever feel lost in your everyday life? THE MISSING is for someone like you.” Arc System Works' website states the game is due for release in 2018, so hopefully we won't have long to wait for more info.

Hi everyone. I wanted to take a few minutes, as 19 February 2018 officially marks three years of Pass the Controller.
Also, we're working on a refreshed approach to our podcast, which will hopefully be better than ever, plus we'll stick it on some audio services (as well as continuing to upload with visuals to YouTube), so that you can listen on the go.
We couldn't have got to where we are today without you, so we want to bring you along with us into exciting new ideas we have for the future. With that in mind, I've put together a little form (below) where you can leave us some feedback and ideas of your own.
Finally, and very importantly, thank you to everyone who has worked at or contributed to Pass the Controller - past and present - for the time and effort you’ve put into making the site what it is today. If you haven’t heard how all of this came about then there’s a few words on our About Us page to get you up to speed.
That's it for now, but in the meantime we hope you continue to enjoy what we're doing and, whether you're new or have been hanging around since the beginning - thank you. James Parry Editor, Pass the Controller Crazy Monkey Studios have announced a sequel to their side-scrolling-shoot-‘em-up Guns, Gore & Cannoli, launching first on Steam next month. The sequel will feature a new weapon wheel, improved player mobility and full 360° aiming that lets you “easily shoot everything that moves”, and also sees online multiplayer introduced, something that was lacking from the original game, with up to four players supported.
Local multiplayer also returns, again with four players able to team up for co-operative action. Guns, Gore & Cannoli 2 is out 2 March on Steam, with Xbox One, PS4 and Switch versions said to be arriving “in the coming months”. Looking forward to more mob-based mayhem? Let us know below. As a wordless experience, the entire story is up for the players’ own interpretation as they move through the forest at their own pace. Fe is a beautiful, connected world that players will never want to leave.” Fe is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC. Rare recently opened their doors to journalists and spilled the beans about how the progression system works in Sea of Thieves and what players can expect on their journey to become a legend. If you make enough of a name for yourself to impress a certain mysterious group they'll reveal more secrets about the world. At the end of this progression you'll be given the task of doing a secret thing in a secret place (understandably, Rare weren't eager to discuss the details, or else it wouldn't be a secret). Upon completion of this task, the title of pirate legend is awarded and a key is given which unlocks a door to a hidden area, accessible only by legendary pirates and their crew. Eurogamer notes that this hidden area was actually in the recent beta but no-one discovered it. Inside the secret hideout, players will find the Tavern of Legends and the ghostly Pirate Lord who'll sell legendary voyages - the most difficult quests in the game. In one of the first major expansions, Rare plans to add another rank; legendary captain. After attaining this rank, the secret hideout will become your very own hideout, and you'll gain a new customisable ship. Before reaching that level of infamy, those seeking fame with the trading companies will have to search for buried treasure, transport goods around the map and even catch and deliver exotic animals that each come with their own set of troubles. For example, chickens could draw unwanted attention from other ships with their traditional morning shouting, or you may find yourself poisoned by venomous snakes. There are also forts littered about the world. If a fort is occupied by skeletons, a skull shaped cloud will signal that there's a vault loaded with valuable treasure, somewhere inside. If you can defeat the waves of skellies and their undead captain you'll earn a key to the vault but you probably won't be the only ship to have seen the beacon. Getting away with the swag won't be easy. Not only are there no safe zones in Sea of Thieves, but the kraken can strike at any time, grabbing numerous ships with its tentacles and smashing them against the waves, potentially sending your hard earned loot to the bottom of Davy Jones' Locker. It sounds like there'll be a lot to discover in Sea of Thieves come 20 March and Rare plan to add more over time. Until then, you can always check out our footage from the closed beta to see how not to sail a ship. Will you be setting sail and seeking glory next month? Let us know below or over in the forums.
Activision are reportedly working on a remaster of the original Spyro trilogy as a timed exclusive for PlayStation 4.
An official announcement could be made as early as next month, according to Kotaku’s sources, with Q3 2018 touted as a potential launch window, specifically September, which happens to be the 20th anniversary of the first game, Spyro the Dragon.
The game is apparently being worked on by Vicarious Visions, the team behind the aforementioned Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy. The Spyro remaster is said to be a one-year timed exclusive for PlayStation 4, before launching on other platforms sometime in 2019. A similar exclusivity deal is believed to be in place with the Crash remaster, which could be appearing on other platforms later this year. What do you think of the rumours? Would you like to relive Spyro’s adventures in glorious HD, or possibly even UHD on PS4 Pro? Let us know below. Update 1.7 brings the console versions of Ronimo Games' MOBA into line with the Steam version, bundling all content the team have created since 2016.
