Ubisoft are working on a sequel to The Division, according to a leak.
Much like the first game, The Division 2 will run on the Snowdrop Engine, albeit an improved version of it. No images, trailers or launch date were amongst the leaked info, with the above logo the only media currently available, although Ubisoft are planning to reveal more at this year’s E3.
Ubisoft recently announced that The Division had surpassed the 20 million player mark and is currently celebrating the milestone, alongside its second anniversary, with a month of in-game activities. A visual update for Xbox One X users is also currently in the works for The Division and, starting in June, players will be able to earn Crests, in-game achievements that can be used to unlock rewards in The Division 2. Ubisoft have given us a closer look at Far Cry 5’s in-game level builder, Far Cry Arcade, which gives players plenty of tools and assets to get creative with. “There’s really no restriction on the way that maps can be setup; you could be playing an outpost, but in a city that’s halfway under water. We’re very excited to bring all these different worlds together and let them collide in little bit-size experiences,” said Lead Game Designer, Clark Davies. Davies also said that the development team are planning to add more assets and items to the editor after launch later this month as part of “at least six” different updates. As well as a look at Far Cry Arcade, Ubisoft also released another trailer highlighting other post launch content and the three standalone game modes that come included as part of the game’s season pass. Hours of Darkness sees players dropped into the Vietnam War in order to rescue POW’s and take on the Viet Cong, Lost on Mars features a more sci-fi setting as players battle alien arachnids on Mars, while the third piece of DLC, Dead Living Zombies, has a B-Movie setting starring the living dead.
There’s also special live events coming post launch that give players the chance to earn new loot in the form of exclusive outfits, weapons and vehicles. Far Cry 5 is out 27 March on Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Let us know your thoughts on Far Cry Arcade and the other Far Cry 5 post launch content below or in the forums. There she'll run into Axel, a mysterious French secret agent who's spying on the ambassador. Whilst they start off on opposite sides they'll be forced to cooperate as destiny leads them to the North Pole to face the stuff of Inuit legends and folklore. He occasionally works as a mercenary but dislikes working alone and yearns for the chaos and bloodshed of the old days. Fear Effect Sedna features:
With work on Sedna wrapped up, the team can now devote their attention to Fear Effect Reinvented, a remaster of the original PlayStation title. “When we first discussed the concept of Collective, one of the things we had in mind was opening up older franchises to enable indies to pitch us ideas for them,” said Phil Elliott, Director of Indie Publishing at Square Enix West. “It’s great to see what Sushee has been able to do at this level with Fear Effect Sedna in bringing something new to Fear Effect universe - plus, it’s also led to Fear Effect Reinvented, so it’s exciting to see it all develop.” Sedna is available now on Xbox One, PS4, Switch and PC for £15.99 Will you be picking up Fear Effect Sedna?
