Bethesda and Zenimax Online Studios have released the latest major paid expansion for The Elder Scrolls Online, their Tamriel-set MMO, for Xbox One and PS4 following it’s launch on PC last month. Alongside the usual deluge of new side quests and characters, players can also explore the game’s new Antiquities system, which gives them the chance to discover and unearth hidden treasures dotted throughout Tamriel via two new mini games. The game’s vampire player base will also be interested to learn that their skill line has been reworked. New changes include the Blood Frenzy ability, which sees players deal out massive damage while it's active but also lose health at the same time. All previous skill line experience will be converted over to the new system, which will be available to everyone, not just Greymoor users. The Elder Scrolls Online: Greymoor is out now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. A Stadia version of the game will be launching on 16 June.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla confirmed for Xbox Series X and PS5, watch the reveal trailer here30/4/2020 Ubisoft have officially unveiled Assassin’s Creed Valhalla with a cinematic trailer, as well as confirming a next-gen version of the game.
Like the series’ most recent entry, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Ubisoft have confirmed that players will be able to select either a male or female protagonist at the start of the game, with further customisation options including hair, tattoos, war paint and gear. As either male or female Eivor, players will lead their clan of Norsemen from the war-torn shores of Norway to the divided kingdom of England, where they can attempt to carve out their own existence by raiding and battling against King Aelfred of Wessex and the Saxons, who have denounced them as heathens and invaders. Players will be able to build their own settlements and use their longboats to raid select locations to further expand their influence, wealth and power. The game is also said to feature dialogue options and choices that can “influence the world of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.” While we do not get to see any actual gameplay, the trailer does hint at possible features likely to be found in the game, such as large-scale battles, boss-like enemies, mythological beings, and, of course, hidden wrist blades. One feature that was confirmed is the ability to dual-wield weapons to fight “a greater variety of enemies than ever before.” “We can’t wait for players to experience the incredible Viking journey ahead of them,” said Ashraf Ismail, Creative Director. “Being in Eivor’s boots as both a Viking raider and a clan leader, players will face the conflicts of establishing a new home while in the midst of a power struggle for control of England.”
A season pass has been announced for Valhalla's various special editions, while a tie-in novel, which lets fans step “even further” into the in-game world, is also available to pre-order. No specific release date was revealed, with the game instead said to be coming sometime during “holiday 2020” to Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC via Stadia, the Epic Games Store, Ubisoft Store and Ubisoft’s subscription service, Uplay+. A next-gen version was also announced, with the game confirmed to be coming to both Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5. What did you think of the reveal? Deep Silver and 4A Games have released the second major story expansion for their post-apocalyptic shooter, Metro Exodus. Sam’s Story is available to purchase digitally on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC and Stadia, or as part of the game’s expansion pass.
Also announced was the return of Metro Exodus to Steam following its removal last year and subsequent timed exclusivity deal with the Epic Games Store. The game will once again be available to purchase on Steam from 15 February. Looking forward to the latest expansion? Let us know below. Square Enix have delayed the release of their Final Fantasy VII remake, with the game now set to launch a little over a month later than the original release date. “In order to ensure we deliver a game that is in-line with our vision, and the quality that our fans who have been waiting for deserve, we have decided to move the release date… Thank you for your patience and continued support.”
Another of Square Enix’s titles, Crystal Dynamics’ Marvel’s Avengers, which the aforementioned studio is handling publishing duties for, has also had its release date pushed back, this time by a more significant four months. The game, which is coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC and Stadia, was supposed to release 15 May, but today received a new launch date of 4 September. “At Crystal Dynamics our ambition has always been to deliver the ultimate Avengers gaming experience. In order to achieve that goal, we have made the difficult decision to move the release date of Marvel’s Avengers,” read a statement published on the game’s official twitter account. “When we set out to bring you our vision for Marvel’s Avengers, we committed to delivering an original story-driven campaign, engaging co-op, and compelling content for years to come. To that end, we will spend this additional development time focusing on fine tuning and polishing the game to the high standards our fans expect and deserve.” The third-person action adventure title, which was revealed at last year’s E3, contains both single player and multiplayer missions, and features a brand-new story and multiple playable heroes, including Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel. Milestone, the team behind Monster Energy Supercross – The Official Videogame 3, has teamed up with real-world supercross rider and rapper, Adam Enticknap, for the game’s latest musical trailer.
“’Be One of Us’ was the first thing that came to mind when the developers of Monster Energy Supercross 3 came to me for this project,” stated Supercross athlete and rapper Adam Enticknap.
“The gaming features are so realistic and so sick that I knew I had to translate that authenticity. This truly has been a surreal experience and I hope fans dig the rap as much as I know they are going to love the new game.” Monster Energy Supercross - The Official Videogame 3 is out February 4 on Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, PC and Stadia. The first raid for Ubisoft’s Ghost Recon: Breakpoint went live at 20:00 GMT this evening for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC users, with a Google Stadia iteration coming later in the year. A full roster of four players is required to tackle the raid, with a Gear Level of 150 or higher, and it’ll only be available in Normal difficulty at first, with Easy and Heroic difficulties being added early next year.
As you might expect from a raid, the rewards include “some of the best loot and gear,” according to Ubisoft, with “objectives, enemy setups and rewards” reset on a weekly basis to help keep things fresh for returning players.
